A diaphragm pump is a positive displacement pump that uses a combination of the reciprocating action of a rubber, thermoplastic or Teflon diaphragm and suitable valves on either side of the diaphragm to pump a fluid. Portable diaphragm pumps are used to handle fluids mixed with sand, silt, mud, sewage, and waste. They feature integrated tubular handles and wheels for easy mobility to pump out ponds, trenches, excavations, and septic tanks.
