Job Summary

‘Hirsch Has It!’ is the company’s tagline, and the Supply Chain Analyst is a key member of the team delivering this promise.  You will report directly to the Director of Logistics and Process Improvement and support the Logistics, Purchasing, and Inventory Control teams by providing insight and help create stocking and inventory strategies to meet the needs of the organization from both a financial and customer service standpoint.  This will be a high visibility position and will often participate in executive level meetings presenting findings and recommendations.  Do the challenges and opportunity for growth sound exciting?  If so, this position may be for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Be our inventory "guru" and become a power user of our purchasing and DRP system, StockIQ

  • Use your ingenuity and analysis to fine-tune StockIQ's parameters and recommend changes to optimize inventory investment

  • Maximize fill rates by working with the inventory and purchasing department to develop stocking and replenishment plans

  • Collaborate to set purchasing budgets that gracefully balance sales goals with financial constraints

  • Spend time visiting our stores and understanding the challenges they face; return to work invigorated with new perspectives and meld them with analytic thought to create inspired solutions

  • Summarize your results through concise reporting that sheds the light of clarity on key performance areas

  • Identify and work with the purchasing and inventory control teams to resolve supply chain issues, purchase order cancelations, delivery date revisions and invoice discrepancies. Factor all of these findings into your analysis and optimization

  • Minimize excess and obsolete inventory, and work with the Inventory team to dispose of the same

  • Provide training for co-workers and be a “go to” resource for all things inventory

  • Be clear in your speech and writing, be able to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization.

  • Be able to come up with independent and collaborative recommendations for the organization to consider implementing.


Minium Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Eighteen years of age
  • Pass a drug screen
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a pre-employment physical

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Economics, Supply Chain or other discipline that requires process improvement knowledge and analytical skillsets
  • Four-year degree or 3+ years of inventory and analytical experience, preferably in a wholesale distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to manage large data sets and interpret data
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Proven history of providing impactful reporting and data analysis
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and forecasting methods
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) to summarize insights and collaborate
  • Proficient in Power BI
