Hirsch Pipe & Supply is in search for an experienced Warehouse worker for our CDC branch located in Commerce! Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in Warehouse.

WAREHOUSE:

The warehouse worker will increase operational efficiency, company profitability and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery.

Job Duties:

  • Pull pick tickets, orders and transfers to be palletized for shipment
  • Pick and pack small packages for FedEx shipments
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time
  • Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
  • Receive inbound freight
  • Replenishment and put away inbound freight
  • Stock rotation
  • Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pick ups
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks
  • Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
  • Follow all established policy and safety guidelines in a drug-free workplace
  • Assist in keeping facility secure
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Operate bar code scanners
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects warehousing
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Good organizational skills
  • Pass drug screen and criminal background check
