Counter Sales


Position Description:

  • Greet and assist walk-in customers with their purchases of plumbing products and industrial supplies.
  • Determine the product needs of the customer and match those needs to products offered by Hirsch.
  • Access inventory information and process sales through our computerized point of sale system.
  • Provide customers with accurate and timely information regarding product availability, pricing and delivery.
  • Pull customer orders.
  • Full time position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing products and supplies.
  • One to two years counter sales experience in the plumbing supply business.
  • Ability and desire to provide exceptional customer service and build business relationships with Hirsch customers.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience using a computerized point of sale or ERP system.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Pass a pre-employment physical
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic math
